Britain's Harry Meade has held the number one spot on the FEI Eventing World Athlete Rankings for eight consecutive months, achieving this top position through consistent top-tier performances, including strong results at the Kentucky Three-Day Event and Badminton Horse Trials.

This week, a group of Myerscough degree students paid him a visit at Somerford Park Farm, and were given the opportunity to observe at close quarters simulated XC sessions, gaining a valuable insight into Harry’s training techniques and coaching strategies, in what was an interesting and very educational day for all who took part.

These unique opportunities help to give Myerscough learners a more complete understanding of the sector, enabling graduates to leave fully ready for a career in the equestrian industry.

The equine industry in the United Kingdom is expanding rapidly, with a turnover approaching £1 billion per year. It encompasses many different sectors, from racing, driving and endurance to dressage, horse trials and show jumping. These areas are supported by a large ancillary industry which provides extensive career opportunities.

Myerscough is well known as one of the leading equine colleges in Britain. The facilities and expert knowledge of the tutors provide an ideal learning environment. The lecturing staff are also active in equine research.
